Rest & Ritual offers handcrafted cookies, baked treats, and select home-fragrance products through this website. By visiting our website, placing an order, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and any additional policies referenced on this website, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy.
These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of this website.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Cookie Orders and Weekly Baking Schedule
Rest & Ritual cookies are prepared through a scheduled preorder process.
By placing a cookie order, you acknowledge that:

Cookies are prepared specifically for confirmed orders.

Weekly production quantities are limited.

Payment is required to confirm an order.

Orders placed by Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. are generally scheduled for the upcoming Saturday bake.

Orders received after the weekly deadline may be scheduled for the following week.

Pickup and shipping dates are based on our current production schedule.

Seasonal flavors and menu offerings may change without notice.
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to limit quantities, decline an order, or cancel an order when necessary. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled items.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Requests to change or cancel an order must be submitted as soon as possible.
Because ingredients, supplies, and production time may be reserved specifically for each order, changes or cancellations may not be available once preparation or production has begun.
Approved refunds will be issued in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Local Pickup
Customers who select local pickup agree to collect their orders during the confirmed pickup window.
Pickup instructions will be provided after the order has been confirmed. Customers are responsible for reviewing and following the pickup instructions provided.
Because baked goods are perishable, food orders that are not collected during the confirmed pickup window may not be eligible for replacement or refund. Rest & Ritual is not responsible for a decline in product quality resulting from delayed pickup.
Shipping
Rest & Ritual ships products only to locations where shipment of those products is permitted by applicable law and carrier requirements.
Cookies and other eligible baked goods are currently shipped only to addresses within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Room sprays and other home-fragrance products may have different shipping restrictions because they contain liquid or fragrance ingredients. Certain products may be limited to ground transportation or may not be eligible for shipment to every location.
Shipping and delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, holidays, service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information. Rest & Ritual is not responsible for orders delayed, returned, or delivered incorrectly because of an inaccurate or incomplete address provided by the customer.
Additional shipping charges may apply if an order must be reshipped. Reshipment is subject to product availability.
Once a package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is subject to the carrier’s handling and delivery procedures.
Food Products and Allergens
Rest & Ritual baked goods are prepared in a home kitchen and may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and ingredient or allergen information before placing an order. If you or the intended recipient has a food allergy or dietary restriction, please contact us before ordering.
We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or cross-contact.
Room Spray Use and Safety
Room sprays are intended for household fragrance use only and must be used according to the instructions and warnings provided on the product label.
By purchasing or using a room spray, you agree to:

Avoid contact with eyes, skin, food, beverages, and open flames.

Avoid directly spraying people, pets, furniture, floors, fabrics, or finished surfaces unless the product instructions state that such use is appropriate.

Store the product securely and away from excessive heat or direct sunlight.

Discontinue use if irritation or an adverse reaction occurs.
Rest & Ritual is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse, improper storage, failure to follow product instructions, or use of a product for a purpose other than its intended use.
Fragrance perception varies by person. The strength, character, and performance of a fragrance may differ based on room size, ventilation, temperature, and individual preference.
Product Care
For the best quality, customers should follow all storage, handling, reheating, serving, and safety instructions provided with their products.
Rest & Ritual is not responsible for changes in product quality caused by improper storage, prolonged exposure to heat or moisture, delayed pickup, delayed opening, misuse, or failure to follow the provided instructions.
Returns and Refunds
Because baked goods are perishable food items, they cannot be returned or exchanged after delivery or pickup.
For safety and quality reasons, used or opened room sprays cannot be returned.
If an order is damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete when received, please contact us promptly and provide:

Submitting a concern does not automatically guarantee a refund or replacement. Each request will be reviewed individually in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.
Personal taste or fragrance preferences, minor variations in handcrafted products, or damage caused by improper storage, handling, or use generally do not qualify for a refund or replacement.
